Chapter History

The Pi Alpha Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on February 5, 1983 and we are proud to be a part of the Greek Community at UofL. Pi Alpha was originally a sole organization without a Panhellenic connection. However, our founding members discovered how deeply their values aligned with Alpha Omicron Pi, thus prompting their decision to join this wonderful sisterhood.

We are proud to share that we are continuing the legacy of our founders with seven Fraternity & Sorority Life Awards from the 2020 year. We happily share that all of our sisters are deeply involved in leadership positions across the University of Louisville’s campus. This past year, we were excited to receive awards for Excellence in Alumnae Relations, Excellence in Ritual, Excellence in Finance, Excellence in Risk Management, and Outstanding AAC at our International AOII Convention.
